Happy Halloween!

Back in August, I picked out a super cute giraffe costume at a consignment sale for Jacob to wear on Halloween. However, in true two year old fashion, he decided he did not want to wear it, so we crammed him in his puppy costume from last year and called it a win! He didn't seem to mind that the pants were two inches too short or that the sleeves hit mid-arm! Scott situated his pants about half-way down his bottom, and that seemed to help the high-water effect! We had lots of fun trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Karen, Kason, and Nolan were able to join us!

Kason was going to be a pirate, but his pants were a little small too, so he ended up wearing the giraffe costume. You can tell he was super excited about it!

The boys loved ringing door bells! Jacob would run back to Scott and say, "Daddy, I got trick-or-treat!!!" After making a loop, we headed home, and Jacob got to have his first real taste of candy. Of course he loved it, and now anytime I ask him what he would like to eat he says, "candies"! He is still talking about Halloween and probably will for the foreseeable future.

There's a good possibility that this weekend was Jacob's last as an only child, so we asked him what special thing he'd like to do with Mommy and Daddy. He said he wanted to "go to restaurant" and then specifically requested "Chick-a-lay". So that's exactly what we did! Of course his favorite part was the milkshake!

It's both exciting and hard to believe that we're so close to meeting Baby Sister. We spent the rest of the weekend getting some last minute things done around the house. My due date is Wednesday, but of course she could be late, especially considering she has half of Scott's genetic make-up! I'm feeling good and just enjoying these last few nights of sleep and being able to get daily showers! I feel like people around us are a little more impatient for me to go into labor than I am. I never really got impatient waiting on Jacob and don't really feel that way this time either. One way or another, it won't be long!

Speaking of babies, my best friend, Megan, had her baby last Monday night! Maddox Robert Houston made his appearance two weeks early, and he is absolutely adorable! We are so excited for the Houston Family and can't wait to meet their newest addition!

And one last picture...We met Daddy at the bank last week and it was pouring rain. However, Jacob insisted on wearing his "sun-gasses"! He keeps us smiling!
