On a Roll!

This week Lydia rolled (tummy to back) for the first time! She was doing some tummy time and the next thing I knew she was on her back! I forgot how exciting it is to see these developmental milestones!

She also tried out the bumbo seat this week. She loved the view, but could only hold herself up for a short time. Jacob loved it, too! It makes me excited to think about them interacting and eventually playing together!

We had a pretty low-key week around here. Grandma, Grandaddy, and GG visited twice, which of course Jacob (and the rest of us) loved. It was great to have extra hands and fun to visit together. Jacob even got to ride with Grandaddy to pick GG up at her house, which he talked about nonstop afterwards!

SNOW!!!

We finally had a good snow this winter, and even more exciting is that Jacob LOVED it! Last year he was very hesitant about the white stuff and spent more time fussing and whining than he did having fun. What a difference a year makes! He had a blast running, jumping, crawling, and flopping around in the snow! He also loved sledding! Last winter we couldn't even convince him to sit on the sled. It was so fun to see him enjoying himself so much. He kept yelling, "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Lydia even joined in the fun for a short time, but she was a little less excited about it!

Catching Up!

I've gotten a little bit behind on my posts, so it's time to catch up on the past few weeks through picture highlights!

New Years was pretty anti-climactic in the Baden house this year! Staying up until midnight is not quite as much fun when you have to wake up a few hours later to feed the baby. We actually didn't even watch the ball drop this year! Oh well! Hopefully we'll be a little better rested and slightly more fun next year! :) In other news, Jacob has had a blast playing with his new Christmas presents.

Jacob helped me make a cake for Grandaddy's birthday, which we baked in the toaster oven, because our new oven hadn't been delivered yet!

We had fun celebrating and of course eating the cake! Jacob was excited to blow the candles out!

Even though the weather hasn't been great, we've managed to get outside a little bit.

Lydia continues to give us the sweetest smiles! She's actually tolerating her car seat a little better sometimes. We've even had a few non-screaming drives, and I'm really hoping this trend continues! It would be really nice to get out of the house a little more!

Sunday morning we woke up to a dusting of snow! It wasn't much, but it might as well have been a foot of snow as far as Jacob was concerned! He thought it was great!

Lydia's Newborn Photos

I've been meaning to share some of Lydia's newborn photos, but keep forgetting!  So, 2 months later, here they are! A huge thanks to Kelly Harmon Photography. Kelly took Jacob's newborn pictures, as well. Not only does she do beautiful work, but she's also a baby whisperer! :)
