- Weighs 17 pounds and 10.5 ounces (39th percentile)
- Measures 28 inches long (61st percentile)
- Wears 9 - 12 month clothing and size 3 diapers
- Pulled up for the first time (7/14) on the train table at Lollipops.
- Decided she is done with being spoon-fed. Miss Independent wants to feed herself, so that's our new program. She is basically eating whatever we eat, which actually makes things easier. I just wish she had informed me of her plans before I made and froze a big batch of pureed baby food! New foods this month included beef, eggs, tilapia, and pancakes!
- Has 6 teeth! Her newest chomper broke through on August 1st. (Left lateral incisor)
- Is still not a good sleeper, but is doing better than she was. She still wants to nurse when she wakes up at night, so I'm going to have to figure out how to wean her away from snacking all night! Naps are hard, because she wakes so easily.
- Loves to dance! Anytime any kind of music plays, the rhythm gets her and she starts to groove! It is so cute!
- Decided she doesn't really like her poppy (paci) anymore. I am very sad about this, because it helped her sleep and helped calm her when she was upset, especially in the car.
- Understands "no" and can wave and hug on command. It's really interesting to realize how much she's starting to understand! Babies are a lot smarter than we sometimes give them credit for.
- Does what we call her "funny face," which is very similar to Jacob's current picture smile - scrunched up nose & closed eyes!
- Hasn't crawled yet, but is very good at scooting on her bottom, especially in circles.
- Hugs and rocks her stuffed animals. So sweet!!!
- Went on her first beach trip and ate lots of sand.
- Loves her doorway jumper and playing "chase" with Daddy and Jacob.
- Is very silly and likes to blow on our arms when she isn't biting them!
- Is definitely a Mommy's girl!
- Loves people and being in crowds. Strangers constantly comment on how friendly and smiley she is! ♡

Happy 9 Months to Lydia!
I know I say it every month, but Lydia Kate is one of the happiest babies ever! No matter where we go, she makes friends. She really loves people and being in crowds. It's crazy to think that she'll be a year old in 3 short months!
