Lydia's First Birthday Party!!!

This weekend we celebrated Lydia's first birthday with our family and friends. We are so grateful for the wonderful people in our sweet girl's life. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that she'll be ONE on Wednesday!

Lydia was so excited to see Papa! He drove all the way from Alabama for her party! She's continued to say "Pa-pa" and he loves it! :)

Our Birthday Girl was very subdued throughout her party. We weren't able to get huge smiles out of her like we normally do, but she was content the whole time. She didn't cry once!

Lydia's first cake experience went a little smoother than her brother's! She wasn't sure what it was at first, but caught on pretty quickly! However, I don't think I'll be giving her icing again any time soon. She wouldn't nap afterwards and had a really hard time staying asleep that night. I think she has enough energy without a sugar rush!

Jacob agreed to smile in exchange for a cupcake.

Another typical Baden Family Photo...

We were so excited to see Uncle Craig and Aunt Lori! They celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary this past week, as well!!! And Uncle Andrew was very popular with the kids. Its not pictured, but he brought Jacob a gross plastic chicken, which was a big hit with the 3 and under crowd! Uncle Michael made a FaceTime appearance all the way from Denver. And of course, Meme, Grandma, and Granddaddy were also present. It was also so special to have the Yurko/Thrashers, Great Grandma Bradley, our neighbor Ms. Toni, and the Hayes, Schneider, and Jones families with us. The Houston Family definitely earned honorable mention, as they drove all the way from Kernersville on Friday night, only to have to turn around and drive home Saturday morning due to a puking kid! We are so grateful for all of our wonderful friends and family, those who were able to come and those who could not. Lydia is so lucky to be so loved!

Aunt Lori made a friend! :)

Lydia is lucky to have such a good big brother. He was very willing to help her open her presents! He has also been very willing to play with/hoard/monopolize...whatever you'd like to call it...her presents since.

Papa thought Jacob needed a present, too. He doesn't have anything to play with, after all! :)

Jacob won't take pictures with me, but Kason is always willing!

I think we might have a little daredevil on our hands. She's already doing tricks!

Lydia and GG take the best pictures. I think its so special to see GG, who is 90 and Lydia who is one, together - the matriarch and baby of the Bradley Family!

We couldn't have asked for a better day or a better reason to celebrate. Happy Birthday to our sweet Baby Girl!!!
