Scott and I absolutely loved getting to hold our new niece. (Its hard to believe Jacob and Lydia were ever that tiny. Its amazing how quickly you forget!) Mae was so snuggly and had that wonderfully intoxicating newborn smell, which is very dangerous for parents who are pretty sure they're done having kids! ;)

Welcome, Baby Mae!
Our sweet niece, Mae Louise Baden, was born on July 5th, and we could not be more excited!!! Scott and I made a quick day trip to Gainesville, GA on Saturday to meet her while Grandma and Grandaddy spent the day with Jacob and Lydia.
It was so fun to see Lori and Craig in their new roles as Mommy and Daddy. They are such a cute little family!

We were lucky to catch Mae during some awake-time! Doesn't she have the sweetest little features?! She's such a beauty!!!
We can't wait for Jacob and Lydia to meet their new cousin! They already love looking at her pictures, especially Lydia. Anytime she sees a picture of Mae, she wants to hug and kiss the phone! She says, "Mae!!! Awww!!! Coot (cute)!!!" It really is the sweetest thing ever! Right now the age difference between the girls feels like a lot. And while there's a huge difference in a toddler and a newborn, as they grow the gap will become more and more narrow. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to think of Lydia and Mae having the same special relationship I had, and still have, with my cousins Holly and Mandy. So many fun times ahead!
