Last week was busy around here! Tuesday was Meme's birthday, and we celebrated with dinner and cake that evening. Jacob picked out the sports plates/napkins and helped decorate the cake. He's definitely getting the hang of birthday parties!
We also voted last Tuesday. Jacob helped me cast my ballot and was so excited about the Fire Station behind our precinct! Just as we were about to leave a truck pulled in, and my little guy was mesmerized!
Our friends Casey, Hattie Grace, and Laney came to play Thursday morning. Laney was born exactly two weeks before Lydia and they were so cute together! Jacob and Hattie had fun playing and eating lunch outside. Laney and Lydia slept through most of the fun, but woke up for some pictures towards the end of out time together.
The nice weather we've been having prompted Scott to hook up the bike trailer. Jacob loves it and asks to "go big faster" when he goes for a ride! He's also really into picking me flowers when we go for walks - so sweet! ♡
Lydia had a big week, too! Last Monday she started rolling from her back to her tummy! She is all over the place now! And then on Friday, I noticed her first tooth (front, left on bottom) broke through. She hasn't been sleeping well at night, or for naps, and now we know why! One down, 19 to go!
Jacob has been making some potty training progress. Last Sunday night he pooped in his potty totally unprompted! He has also been trying out his Thomas the Train underpants, and keeps them dry when he does. I think he could actually go all day in underpants, but he's stubborn and does stuff in his own time. If we push, he resists, so we are just letting him take the lead for now!
And last of all, Lydia and I went to Aunt Ryan's baby shower last Saturday. It was so fun to celebrate her and Baby G! He will be here in about 8 weeks and we can't wait!
