Happy Birthday, Papa!!!

Jacob is really into birthdays right now. In the past month, we've attended a couple of birthday parties, and he's quickly caught on that birthdays equal cake! :) Needless to say, he was super excited to celebrate Papa's birthday last weekend. We made a special shopping trip for party supplies, and Jacob proudly took on the responsibility of picking out the plates, napkins, balloons, and candles. He also picked out a birthday card and present (a Hot Wheels truck - imagine!) for Papa. He also "helped" make the birthday cake.

Before celebrating that night, we enjoyed the warm afternoon outside. Jacob and Papa took a walk, complete with their walking sticks! We spent some time at the park and in the "woods". We even saw two ducks in the creek!

In addition to the birthday celebration on Saturday night, the Duke vs. Carolina game was on, and Scott made sure Lydia was prepared!

We had lots of fun playing outside again on Sunday. Lydia took a little snooze in the stroller (first time that's ever happened!) while Jacob explored. We're really looking forward to the warm weather and longer days ahead!
