At 8 Months, Lydia...
- Weighs 16 -ish pounds
- Measures about 28 inches long
- Wears size 9 - 12 Month clothing, depending on the type of outfit. She is very long!
- Has become quite good at drinking from her sippy cup. She loves water!
- LOVES to eat solid foods! New foods this month include: salmon, watermelon, yogurt, & blueberries. She's gotten pretty good at picking up and eating little green peas, cheerios, and other small chunks of veggies and fruits.
- Has 5 teeth! We have worked and suffered for every single one. Teething turns my happy girl into a whole different baby.
- Is a TERRIBLE sleeper. Oh. my. goodness. At first I blamed the constant night wakings on teething. I'm sure that's played a role, but nights are ridiculous with her. Not only does she wake almost every hour, but the only thing that calms her is nursing. She won't take her paci suddenly and screams if Daddy tries to rock her. It's awful. Naps have gone downhill, too. We're struggling!
- Isn't crawling yet, but is becoming more mobile! She scoots around on her bottom and pushes herself backwards on her tummy. She also flops onto her tummy from sitting up when trying to get something out of reach.
- Continues to be verbal and loud! She's started saying what sounds like "hey!"
- Is becoming very silly. She loves to make Jacob laugh! When she gets all riled up she shakes her head back and forth. Jacob finds this quite entertaining!
- Is discovering object permeance. She's started dropping things on purpose and then looking to see where they go.
- Despite teething and sleeping woes, she continues to be a happy, sweet baby!
