Sick & Tired

The last month has been pretty low-key for us, as someone in our house has pretty much been sick since we returned from our Tybee trip. We've been passing around a cold, so there's been lots of congestion, coughing, and sneezing going on. Lydia also had a yucky stomach virus, but thankfully nobody else caught it. Being sick means we've had to cancel some fun, much anticipated plans with family and friends, but we've still managed to have some fun of our own around here!

Eternal Summer...
The first half of October was hot. It felt more like summer than fall, but we made the best of it by continuing to enjoy lots of time outside. We also found a kitty! Everyone but Daddy wanted to keep her, but it turns out she lives a few houses up the street anyway. Every time we drive by "Annie's" house, the kids yell "hello" and "I love you" to her!

Leaves
Jacob is all about raking leaves this year and the maple in the front yard has given him lots of opportunities! He loves making a huge pile to jump in. Lydia prefers to relax and observe.

Family Movie Night!
What to do when stuck at home? Movie Night! We made pizza, popcorn, and chocolate chip cookies for a family movie night! Daddy blew up the air mattress in the living room and we all snuggled in to watch the Lion King together.

School
Jacob continues to love school. During Fire Safety Week the kids had a visit from the Fletcher Fire Department and his class made some fire gear for the event!

Picture Day
Unfortunately we didn't get a good picture of the kids with the photographer at school, but by some miracle I got some of their best ever at home afterwards. I'm saving them for our Christmas card, but here are a few of the out-takes!

Hickory Nut Gap Farm
We enjoyed a family fun day together at Hickory Nut Gap Farm a few weeks ago! The kids loved seeing the animals, playing in the corn silo, adventuring through the corn maze, and having a picnic by the creek!

And finally...bet you can't guess which parent dressed Lydie this day!
