4th of July 2018

Happy 4th of July!!!

We had a fun family day together since Daddy had the day off from work. We had pancakes for breakfast, went to the summer dollar movie at the theatre, had lunch at Luella's BBQ, came home for naps, and made dessert pizza that evening. Later that night, Daddy and Jacob went to fireworks while I stayed home with Lydia. She was still pretty worn-out from our beach trip last week and has been waking up before 6 am each morning. After crying and whining all afternoon we decided it was better for her to go on to bed and get some rest. Luckily she didn't know what she missed.

On Saturday we traveled to Gainsville, GA for Mae's first birthday party! The kids love Baby Mae and had so much fun running around her while she tried her best to keep up - no easy feat when you have only been walking for a few days!

Other happenings from this week...

The kids had dentist appointments this week and they both did a great job! I knew Jacob would be fine, but Lydia was questionable. She surprised me by being 100% cooperative and tear-free! Both kids had great reports and no cavities. We did learn from Jacob's x-rays that he is missing a permanent tooth on the front, bottom left, which was unexpected (and unwanted) news. Thankfully its something that can be fixed when he's older. I told Scott not to cancel the dental insurance any time soon! We went to Chick-fil-la to afterwards, because what better way to celebrate no cavities than with a nice, sugary treat?

We also enjoyed a quick visit with Papa this week while he was in North Carolina.

And we are loving our zinnias and garden! We are checking our sunflowers each day. They'll be blooming soon, too!
