Father's Day and VBS

Happy Father's Day, Scottie! I'm so grateful that Jacob and Lydia have such a patient, loving father. You work long, hard days, but are always full of smiles and hugs for us when you get home. I love how much you love our children, and am so appreciative of how much you invest in their little lives every single day. You're the best!

We made Daddy a special Father's Day breakfast on Saturday morning and then met Papa and Uncle Andrew for breakfast on Sunday morning. (Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures!) Jacob worked so hard on a Father's Day card, as well as setting the table for Daddy's special breakfast.

We went to the pool that afternoon and had a dinner picnic there. We're so excited to watch the kids loving the water this summer, especially Lydia who absolutely hated the pool last year. They're both jumping in and "swimming" around the whole time we're there.

We finished Father's Day with one of Daddy's favorite desserts - peanut butter pie! We had such a fun day together.

Jacob has been counting down the days until Vacation Bible School since the last day of VBS last summer! This year didn't disappoint. He had a blast making crafts, learning new songs and Bible stories, eating snacks, and digging in the dirt! The theme was Biblical Archeology, so each day the kids got to dig for treasures! The church had a picnic for the kids and families on the last day. Jacob says he wishes he could go to Bible School every day!

My hydrangeas are continuing to bloom and we're starting to pull more veggies from the garden. We are loving summer time!
