Easter
Anatomy Scan
I had my anatomy scan the Monday after Easter when I was 19 weeks. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Scott was not allowed to come to the appointment with me. It was a little sad not to get to share the excitement of getting a peek of our baby girl together, but we're just so happy and grateful that she got such a great report. Since I'm 35 and therefore considered to be of "advanced maternal age," I had a very in-depth scan at the MAHEC Clinic. The entire scan lasted about an hour as the technician thoroughly checked and measured every part of the baby. So far she's looking absolutely perfect! She continues to measure exactly to the day of her estimated gestation. I loved getting to see her wiggle and move! She loved holding her little hands to her face and even looked like she was sucking her thumb at one point! It was so fun to share the good news and sweet pictures with Scott and the kids when I got home. Although, the kids were a little disappointed when they realized pictures of the baby weren't actually normal photographs!
I've never been good at keeping up with regular weekly or monthly belly pictures, but I realized I hadn't taken one yet this pregnancy! Ooops! I've been so sick that it hasn't even really crossed my mind. I'm going to try to take some from here on out. So here's 18 weeks!
and 21 Weeks...
Staying at Home
We've continued "Learn from Home" this month, as well as fitting in lots of time for play and projects around the house. Scott works every other week, so we've taken advantage of his time at home with us. Even though he's not getting paid during his furlough weeks, we've really enjoyed his time off. He normally has very few vacation days and they are pretty much used for extended family gatherings and vacations. We've never really had extended time at home together. So far we've done lots of yard and garden work, cleaned-out and organized the garage, and have gone through all the old baby clothes. We've also loved slow mornings, family walks, and relaxed meals together.
Our peas are starting to come up!
