November 2019

November is Birthday Month for Lydia and I, so naturally its one of our favorites!

We started the month off staying busy raking up the millions of leaves from our Maple Tree and doing PTO projects at Jacob's school, which included making a soup bar for the staff and painting a concrete "playground" in a courtyard.

Lydia got a big girl bed as an early birthday present! She loves it and is going a great job sleeping all night in it! She also loves her new pink big girl covers! Now she has plenty of room for the 75 stuffed animals she insists on sleeping with!

Along with putting Lydia's new bed together, we stayed busy prepping for her Mermaid Birthday Party! Jacob had a little bit of a hard time leading up to Lydia's birthday this year. He was jealous of the special attention she was getting. In the end, he was able to pull himself together and not only enjoy her birthday, but also be happy for her and her special day. He drew a mermaid for the party and created a sign-in station for his room to use during her party! He runs a tight ship!

Last night as a three year old!!! Going to bed three and waking up FOUR!!!

Happy 4th Birthday to Lydia!

Lydia's Mermaid Party was so much fun! The kids made mermaid tails, played outside, ate cupcakes, and celebrated our favorite four year old! It was a perfect day!

Lydia chose the restaurant and her outfit for her birthday dinner! We went to Culvers before coming home to have cookie cake and presents. Poor Jacob was really sick on her birthday, but still managed to be in on the fun.

Jacob was still recovering a few days later on my birthday, so he got to join me for my birthday lunch as Asiana! He was a big fan of the mozzarella cheese sticks and the ice cream machine. He couldn't believe you can have a free lunch on your birthday and has already decided that's where he'd like to go for his birthday in May. We also celebrated with Daddy and Lydia that night.

My mom took care of the kids on Friday so that Scott and I could enjoy a spa day together! We got massages in the morning and then relaxed by the pool for most of the day. We took an amazing nap and then headed out to dinner - all kid free! Meme also made me her delicious chocolate cake. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! I'm so grateful for another year with the people I love the most!

Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving at Aunt Laura's house with Daddy's family, but we had our traditional family feast the weekend before. I made Cornish hens, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, cranberries, and rolls. Jacob was shirtless, because he said Indians didn't wear shirts!

A few other pictures from our November...

Lydia had her first haircut! She loved it and was so proud afterwards!
