Jacob's last day of preschool and graduation were such both such special, bittersweet occasions. We're so proud of how much he's learned and how much he's grown. He is ready and excited for kindergarten, and we're excited for him!
Last Day of Preschool - May 2018
First Day of PreSchool - August 2017
Next Year Lydia will have her own "first day" pictures!
When I dropped Jacob off for his last day his teachers had a little surprise for us! (How did they know?)
Jacob has been so excited about his graduation ceremony. His class has been practicing and he was really excited for us to see him on stage. (Front, Second from Left) It was so sweet to watch him marching in and out to Pomp and Circumstance and so sweet to hear the class sing "He's Still Working on Me" as their performance. Jacob even did the "commotions" this time.
But my favorite part of the ceremony was when each child was highlighted as he received his diploma. Jacob plans to be an artist when he grows up, marry his sister, have three sons, and live in our neighborhood, but in a different house.
Congratulations, Jacob!!! We're forever grateful for the amazing teachers and staff at SonShine PreSchool who made his first school experience such a positive one.
I love this sweet picture. The year 2031 seems so far away. I honestly can't even image actually being at the point where Jacob is graduating and heading off to college. But I also remember looking at him as a newborn and not even being able to fathom that he would one day go off to kindergarten. Now more than ever I believe the old saying, "The days are long, but the years are short."
